Help the Environment Pt2

Yesterday I wasn't able to finish my previous post so I am here today to wrap it up by introducing a cool tool that will lower your energy usage with the computer and help reduce the strain on the environment. I am talking about LocalCooling, a 100% FREE power management tool that will help you optimize your computer/laptop Watt usage. It is a down loadable little tool that takes your power settings and simplifies them allowing you to have your computer screen turned off when not in use in x minutes, this is VERY useful if you leave your computer on the whole day or for a company that has 10-100's of computers on at a time. It tracks the energy you have saved in Watts, Trees, and Gallons of Oil.

Here are my stats for this since downloading it yesterday:

.0029 Trees Saved
.0266 Gallons of Oil
.0544 kWh

Not a whole lot but if you consider this to be my second day of usage and the fact that I am constantly using the computer, those numbers will add up to be something great. After all, every bit counts and the more people that use it, the more energy we save. Plus you can also form a group of users to rally up against global warming and show off your stats. So if you haven't already, I suggest downloading the tool here, you won't be sorry.
